CONTEMPLATIVE RETREAT

Almost without exception, every human culture has found it necessary to establish sacred places for contemplation and rejuvenation.  The ongoing challenges of basic survival can so colonize our minds we stop listening to the depths of our own souls.  For a full and healthy life, we need to extricate ourselves from the daily routine so we can sink back down into the mystery of being.

Originally founded in the Catholic monastic tradition, Santa Sabina Center has since 1970 served people from every spiritual orientation, including atheism.  The Center is adjacent to the 100 acre Dominican University campus with wooded environs, wild life, extensive garden, trail walks and hikes from which one can see Mount Tamalpais and the San Francisco Bay.
